Philo Vance
New York City's 1920's version of Sherlock Holmes. Ten of the twelve novels were made into movies. The success of the books and movies gave rise to an NBC radio series in the 1940's.
Although all titles are available in most countries, some of the original books remain under copyright protection in the United States and its Territories, thereby prohibiting these updated editions in those countries until a later date.
Pease Note: These Modern English editions are the work of Reginald Martynique. However, some titles have not yet achieved universal copyright status. As the approval procedure can be very time-consuming and complicated, we have decided to release titles, that some incorrectly consider to be in the public domain, using Mr. Martynique's pseudonym—Royce Marshall—until the process is completed. The most substantial difference is that the Marshall editions are not eligible for Amazon's KindleUnlimited program.
